MILLA partners with ACCESS: Arab Community Center for Economic & Social Services to develop a body of legal information relevant to the Arab American Community. We are currently working to create a Know Your Rights presentation that covers what to do when someone is stopped by Immigration Customs Enforcement, the FBI, or by TSA in an airport, and well as other immigrant-right basics.
From the ACCESS website: “ACCESS has been serving the community for 40 years, and is proud to be one of the nation’s premier Arab American organizations. Started by a group of volunteers in 1971 out of a storefront in Dearborn’s impoverished south end, ACCESS was created to assist the Arab immigrant population adapt to life in America.”
